Helen (Goldie Hawn) and Ennis (Bruce Willis) are a very good couple, and Helen's friend Madelin (Meryl Streep) is going to play a show on Broadway, so the two go to watch it together. Unexpectedly, Medelin actually scratched his head at the handsome Ennis, and then stepped in to snatch love between the two.
Having lost her friend and lover at the same time, Helen is sad and angry, and she overeats when she loses hope in life, and soon becomes a fat woman who everyone avoids. Don't punish yourself for the mistakes of others, and knowing this, Helen begins to become angry, not only restoring her former good figure, but also publishing a new book describing her mental journey during this period. Helen's change rekindles Ennis, who is not happy with her life, and Medlin can't sit still, so she turns to the evil witch for help in order to compete with her former friend.
