1970s, Ohio, USA. A hurricane destroyed half of the town. Fourteen-year-old boy Solomon (Jacob Reynolds) and boy Tucker (Nick Sutton) are two street gangsters who have nothing to do. This brutal hurricane not only destroyed everything in the town, but also took the lives of many of its residents, including Solomon's father. Solomon lives with his mentally abnormal mother, while Tucker lives with his widowed father. Both brothers and sisters have lost their way in life, and they take pleasure in taking drugs, wrestling their wrists and killing cats every day. In this miserable and meaningless world, two boys who have nothing to do are living in such a boring and numb way, and tomorrow is like a void for them, and they can only continue to fall.
The experimental debut "Strange Kid", written and directed by young director Harmony Colin, won the FIPRESCI Award - Encouragement Award at the 54th Venice International Film Festival in 1997.
