The story takes place in a labor camp in Mississippi, where the murderer Bowers (Keith Carradine) and a group of outlaws he met in prison escaped. There, Bowers meets a woman named Shelley Duvall, who falls in love at first sight with her gentleness and kindness, but can Bowles, now a fugitive, really be able to hold the beauty he wants?
After escaping from prison, Bowers and his brothers were unwilling to be lonely, and robbed several small robberies, and the "harvest" was still reasonable, which made several big men relax their vigilance. Finally, in the midst of another robbery, the robbers encounter "Waterloo" and hide from the pursuing police, Bowers arrives at the cut, hoping that she will provide shelter.
